5 stage painting process
They use a 5 stage painting process to maximize the car show quality. Wet sanding and buffing process to maximize the car show quality.
Primer: this is first coat to be applied. The main functions of the primer are to act as leveler, as a protector and make it easier to apply the base coat for the component it’s applied on.
Base coat: the second step, this coat contains the visual properties of color and effects, and is usually the one referred to as the paint which is either solid, metallic or candy.
Clear coat: Usually sprayed on top of a colored basecoat, clearcoat is a glossy and transparent coating that forms the final interface with the paint job. The clearcoat must be durable enough to resist elements.
West sanding: this gets out all of the imperfections and trash that may be on the surface.
Buffing: the final step brings out the shine and deep clarity of the color
